India’s one of the largest company Bajaj Auto does not wish to have a single manufacturing plant. According to Rajiv Bajaj, Chief of Bajaj, describes that Bajaj Auto generally is focussed into designing of automobiles and then into business marketing after manufacturing of the product.

While comparing Bajaj Auto with the world’s largest mobile company Apple, Rajiv Bajaj mentioned about their infrastructure as Apple runs their business worldwide but does not own any manufacturing plant. He also said that if Apple can work acquiring sources from Foxconn and still be an excellent company then this automobile company is taking an initiative to build a business without running factories.

Bajaj Auto was limited to the making of scooters until the launch of Pulsar in the year 2001, at Chakan manufacturing plant, Pune. Bajaj Auto cherishes its 17 years of development from scooters to motorcycles entitling themselves as the “The World’s Favourite Indian”. About 70 countries from worldwide, 15 million people ride on Bajaj Auto and 40% of revenue comes from the international market. World’s Favourite Indian will be the new brand identity that will be used in the campaigns and business marketing in televisions, press and digital media.

The Chakan manufacturing plant that has seen several obstacles related to labors union, revision of wages, resettlement that has led to disturbances in volume production, delay in importing and exporting sales, as published on Moneycontrol.
