The renowned Oxford academics is planning to offer blockchain certification courses by coming up with the first blockchain university of the world into the 21st century. The university will start its classes early in 2019. The Woolf University pioneers want to provide one-to-one education to the students at low fees and pay more to the teachers.
At present some of the renowned universities are offering courses in the blockchain. Some of the big names include Stanford University, University of California Berkeley, New York University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Cornell University. Stanford offers interdisciplinary courses in Digital Currency and Cybercrime and helped students from business, law, and computer science faculty to study this subject. The university also successfully attracted major investments from the blockchain industry and received funding for a five-year project from Ethereum Foundation and others.
The University of California Berkeley has always been the leader in emerging technologies and offers interdisciplinary education courses including “Blockchain, Cryptoeconomics and the Future of Technology, Business and Law” titled course. Apart from that, the student organization dedicated to Blockchain offers education and builds products for major companies such as Qualcomm and Airbus.
The New York University also offers blockchain certification courses of which the “Digital Currency, Blockchains and the Future of Financial Services” course designed by Geoffrey Miller, and David Yermack are the best. According to CoinDesk, this course is focused on the emerging role of blockchains and cryptocurrencies in banking, money and the overall real economy.
MIT offers one of the best options in blockchain courses including “Cryptocurrency Engineering and Design” taught jointly by the co-author of Lightning Network Paper, Tadge Dryja and the Digital Currency Initiative (DCI) director of MIT, Neha Narula. The course provides insight into the latest developments in the field of blockchain technology. Cornell also offers a top-notch course titled, “ Blockchains, Cryptocurrencies, and Smart Contracts,” to the students.
The demand for courses offering blockchain certification is increasing because the technology does not allow entry of any outside party.
