Recently, Prof. Omri Ross of Copenhagen University has seen blockchain as the potential for a wide array of blockchain applications, and next week, he will be hosting the 3rd annual innovation seminar to expand the blockchain ideas. The support which will be directed through his teaching will focus on establishing the blockchain schemes and options within Israel.
The event will be hosted at the Copenhagen Business School from August 13. The fifth-day Blockchain Summer School will connect 70 students and professionals from around the world to the numerous applications for which blockchain technology can be used.
The blockchain summer school will also open a half-day examination of how the blockchain technology is used with Ross and other experts. This would take place for 2 days that will teach members to develop blockchain projects for industry partners as well as to showcase their projects to the world. The summit is expected to attract more than 400 participants.
A lot of blockchain research was founded during the summer school in a few years. Some of the partners and promoters of the program include the Royal Bank of Canada, the Switzerland-based World Wildlife Fund, and Chinese blockchain group Qtum.
According to Ross, blockchain is an application that can be used to stop the double spending of cryptocurrencies. It’s an application that took the world by storm in 2009 at the beginning of the Bitcoin era.
He further feels that he and others, who founded the Blockchain Summer School, were encouraged by research being done in the field, they even got a chance to modernize the space quickly as compared to the university course.
As per the news published in J Post, Ross further plans to put on an alumni-organized blockchain event at Israel’s Arts and Sciences Academy in Jerusalem this summer.[The views and opinions expressed in this article are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views and/or the official policy of the website. ]
