The Ethereum blockchain has reached officially to the trade exchanges of European Union with the help of American stock exchange, Nasdaq. In the latest update, it is unveiled that the investors now will be able to purchase tokenized shares in some of the leading tech companies listed in the exchange. This will be officially open right from January 9th best beginning and perhaps this is the best way to begin 2019 for the crypto community.
Nasdaq has collaborated with Estonian digital trading platform, DX. Exchange for the entire project through which the investors can purchase shares of firms like Google, Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Tesla and many more.
The confirmation came after DX Exchange came out with an official announcement that the investors will receive options in trading with tokens represented as ERC-20 powered by an Ethereum blockchain via smart contracts. This deal is going to make DX an exclusively licensed platform which can trade with tokenized stock products in the EU. These digital stocks combine both traditional and blockchain investment. These stocks are backed on a ratio of 1:1 on conventional stock exchanges. In this way, a token holder automatically becomes a shareholder of the company, as mentioned by Bitcoinist.
DX will make the use of Nasdaq’s Financial Information exchange (FIX) protocol. The offered token on the sale will reply on market-leading public company shares listed on exchanges such as NYSE, Tokyo Stock Exchange, NASDAQ and Hong Kong Exchange.
